I started riding in 2000, when I was 13
years old.

did you start riding BMX?
I knew BMX from my friends.
Do
your parents support you for riding BMX?
Yes. My parents always support me for all
of my activities.
Where
is your favorite spot for riding?
It’s hard, at at the moment I like riding
BMX on the street. Because the skatepark in Germany is really crowded. But I love
riding skateparks and mini ramps.
What
tricks do you like to do?
I like many tricks, but tailwhip would my

In Germany we’re riding seriously and
more competitive. But in Bali, a lots of the riders just want to have fun when
they rode, and they’re riding BMX originally.
How
about your favorite spot in Bali ?
I would be love for riding at Simpang Siur,
because after we rode BMX we could have a nice time together.
Could
you tell us about your long trip in Indonesia?
I just flew to Banda Aceh and looked for a
motorbike. After about 5 days I bought a 2nd hand Honda Supra fit for 5 million
rupiah. The people in Aceh where very friendly and helped me a lot finding a
good bike. So, I started my way from Banda Aceh to Pulau Sabang in the north
because I wanted to start my journey from the km zero monument on Sabang.
Do
you ever had any problem with your trip?
I never had any major problems at all. my bike was fine, i had to repair some things like my chainset an sprockets, i made a few oil changes, thats it. The people all over Indonesia where so friendly, and because of my (bad) skills of bahasa indonesia, it was no problem for me to ask someone for help. The people (especially in Sumatera) are really interrested in bules like me, and they will do everything to make me happy.
The biggest problem for bules is the sun and the food. its fucking hot when you ride motorbike in the sun for 7 hours every day. And sometimes its difficult for me to find some "good" food in rural areas, because I am not used to eat rice every day for many weeks.

How
long for your trip?
My trip took about 5 weeks from sabang to kuta. i drove about 5500km. normally i drove about 150km at one day, sometimes 200km and sometimes just 50km... i stayed a few days in very nice places like bukit tinggi and the lake toba area, so i didnt drove every day.

Why
you make this long trip?
I made this trip because i love Indonesia and The Indonesians. Indonesian people are so friendly and nice and the land is so beautiful. In Germany, everyone is serious, the people are unfriendly against strangers and everything is organised and complicated. In Indonesia, nothing is organised and every day on the road was like a new adventure. but i never felt unsafe because the is never a problem in Indonesia which can not be solved. i am so happy to speak this amazing language, because this gives me the opportunity to travel independent in Indonesia and go to places where the "normal" bules never can got to.
